Hello dear Fern Friends,
I'm looking forward to being with you this weekend as we all join to
learn with Michael Lew-Smith!
Here are some reminders:
* We'll gather this Sunday, July 17 from 9:30 - noon at Wheelock
Mountain Farm. Directions here [1]if you need them.
* Please bring $15 - 20 cash or check for the sliding scale fee
* You'll receive a complimentary copy of Identifying Ferns the Easy
Way!
Some details:
* We'll be trekking into the woods. Nothing too rugged or distant,
but come prepared for walking.
* Dress in tick-prevention-high-fashion. Ticks haven't been too bad
here this year, but it is best to be safe. Long pants and sleeves, and
socks (into which to tuck your pants - that's the high fashion part).
Light colors make it easier to see the critters on your clothes, should
they crawl onto you. You may want to top it all off with the perfume of
tick prevention sprays.
* Part of our time may be indoors. Our program shed is quite airy,
but you may want to bring along a mask for Covid.
* I'm not sure whether Michael will have paper handouts. Either way,
you may want to bring along something for taking notes.
There are a few spots remaining for this lovely event. Easy walk in the
woods to meet new friends - both human and botanical. We're going to
have fun! If you know of anyone else who would like to join us, have
them contact me at this email or our home phone 802-533-2296. Just to
make sure that we don't end up with a crowd of 200 :)
I'm so excited to see you this weekend!
