Hello-
I just wanted to plug this relief drive I'm taking part in to support
the work of Mutual Aid Disaster Relief and on-the-ground grassroots
organizations in Florida grappling with the effects of Hurricane Ian.
Mutual Aid Disaster Relief is really throwing down hard right now on the
ground in Eastern Kentucky (where the effects of flooding are still
being heavily felt), Puerto Rico, and Florida. MADR is direct action
making lives better and communities stronger, and a direct challenge to
the disaster capitalism/shock doctrine paradigm of government and ngo
disaster response.
I'm collecting the items listed below and on the attached flyer (and
other materials related to recovery.... tinctures, salves, your own
creative ideas) to be driven down from central Vermont on Tuesday 10/4!
Please share this widely in your networks and contact me to coordinate a
pickup or drop off by Monday night!
With grattitude!
