As was the case last year, we here at Wheelock Mountain Farm intend to make our Tuesday June 11th potluck a night of information sharing and strategizing re: prisoner support and prison abolition, as well as a coordinated letter writing (and commissary $$, book, and photo/drawing collection) effort to make sure that Marie and Eric know they have not been forgotten. Last year's event was a huge success--both Eric and Marie wrote back to let us know how much they appreciated all the great letters and drawings that we collected!! It'd be great to build on that success this year--especially given the increasing intensity of opposition to destructive infrastructure projects in Vermont. Let's live in solidarity with those who are suffering behind bars for their actions in solidarity with the Earth!!
If WMF seems too far away for you to make it out, perhaps you would like to camp out here on Tuesday night, and spend the following day organizing (walking the route?) opposition to the Trailbreaker Tar Sands Pipeline Project in the NEK? Call ahead (533-2296 or 533-9929) if you want to camp out - $10 donations appreciated.
